Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to expand bilateral political cooperation

    The foreign ministers of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have signed a cooperation program for 2014-2015 to strengthen political dialogue, according to the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.
    "The signing of the cooperation program took place as part of the official visit on part of Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrissov to Kyrgyzstan. The document was signed by Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs Yerlan Idrissov and Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Erlan Abdyldaev," the report said.
    The report also noted the current state and future prospects for Kazakh-Kyrgyz bilateral cooperation, regional cooperation issues and international agenda topped the discussion.
    "A great potential for cooperation exists between our two countries in the economic sector. We need to deepen trade and investment relations and further encourage the expansion of mutual trade," Idrissov said.
    On July 16, Idrissov will meet with Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev. He will also attend the meeting of foreign ministers of the Central Asian countries and Japan, according to Trend.
