Kazakhstan’s Foreign Affairs Ministry is working to determine whether or not citizens of Kazakhstan were on board of the Malaysia Airlines airliner that crashed in eastern Ukraine, Kazinform reports, citing the MFA.
"We express our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who perished due to the crash of the #MH17 Malaysia Airlines airliner in eastern Ukraine. We believe there should be a most thorough investigation and all the circumstances should be established. We are working to determine whether or not citizens of Kazakhstan were on board the plane, and will share this information once we have it," the ministry's official Twitter page reads.
The ministry yet again called on all parties involved in the conflict in eastern Ukraine to cease fire as soon as possible and come to a solution to the conflict through peaceful means.
As was reported earlier, a Malaysia Airlines jet carrying 295 people crashed in east Ukraine on a flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, Kazinform reports.
