Georgian and Kazakh foreign ministries hold political consultations

    Political consultations have been held between the Georgian and Kazakh foreign ministries in Tbilisi.
    Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister, David Jalagania and officials from relevant departments of CIS countries involved in policy, investment and foreign affairs.
    Deputy Foreign Minister Samat Ordabayev and officials from the Department on CIS Countries under Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry attended the consultations.
    The importance of the Commission on Economic Cooperation as an effective mechanism for the development of economic relations between the two countries was stressed. It was agreed the next session of the commission would be held in Tbilisi in autumn 2014.
    The parties involved also exchanged views on a number of relevant international and regional issues.
    Kazakhstan once again confirmed its support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, according to Trend.
