Security Council reviews new challenges, risks to national security

    Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev attended a meeting of the country's Security Council, the press service of Akorda, presidential palace, said Sept. 17.
    “The meeting mulled the realization of Kazakhstan's foreign policy concept in changing geopolitical situation in the world and the region,” Akorda’s press service said. “New challenges and risks to the national security were also discussed, and preventive response measures were worked out.”
    Following the council’s meeting the relevant bodies were given specific assignments. Execution of these assignments will be controlled by the council’s secretariat, according to Trend.
