More than 50 events scheduled to mark 70th anniversary of World War II

    More than 50 events will be held in Kazakhstan as part of the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, a news statement from the Ministry of Health and Social Development reports.
    Thus, the plan of activities for the preparation and celebration of the 70th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War as approved by a government resolution adopted on October 16, 2014, will award Great Patriotic War veterans a jubilee medal called - 70 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, 1941-1945. It will also include a military parade dedicated to the Day of Defender of the Fatherland and the 70th anniversary of the victory in the city of Astana and the organization of a campaign called - Ardagym Ardagerіm.
    Official assemblies, concerts, meetings, book presentations, photo and book exhibitions, performances, celebratory processions with schoolchildren and students from educational institutions, and members of youth organisations are also planned, according to Kazinform.
