Liechtenstein welcomes Kazakhstan's membership in UN Security Council

    Deputy Chairman of the Majilis - Special Representative for the Promotion of Kazakhstan’s Candidacy for the UN Security Council, Dariga Nazarbayeva has met with Hans Adam II, the prince of Lichtenstein, during her trip to Germany last week, a news statement from the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said.
    During the meeting, she delivered a personal message from the Kazakh president asking for Lichtenstein’s support for Kazakhstan's candidacy as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2017-2018 was handed to the Prince of Liechtenstein.
    The Prince, while praising the achievements and activities of the country on the international arena, also welcomed Kazakhstan's intent to become a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
    Also Kazakhstan’s delegation held talks with Albert Frick, the president of the Liechtenstein’s Landtag (Parliament).
    During this meeting Liechtenstein was acquainted with the main stages of the development of Kazakhstan. Prospects for inter-parliamentary cooperation and bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Liechtenstein were also discussed, according to Akipress.
