Kazakhs life expectancy rises to 71 years

    President Nursultan Nazarbayev has visited the Regional Oncology Center during his trip to Semey, a news statement from Ak Orda reports.
    The president inspected the operation of the establishment and checked the facilities at the center, which has modern equipment.
    The president also talked to the personnel at the center and noted that the healthcare facilities of the city were equipped with all the necessary equipment.
    "7.2 billion tenge was allocated for this complex from the national budget and 4 billion of this amount was allocated for the purchase of the necessary equipment. This is a unique for Kazakhstan establishment with the use of the nuclear medicine. Now, you are the ones who the use of this equipment for the good of the people of Kazakhstan depends on. In total, thanks to development of the healthcare sphere all over the country the life expectancy in Kazakhstan has increased from 64 years up to 71 years over the last decade," the head-of-state said, Kazinform reports.
