Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif will depart for Astana, Kazakhstan on April 12.
His stay in Kazakhstan will last two days, IRNA news agency reported April 11.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry has announced the visit follows an invitation by Kazakh Foreign Minister Erlan A. Idrisov.
It is said the visit will follow routine relations between the two foreign ministries as well as agreements made between the two neighboring countries during President Nursultan Nazarbayev’s visit to Tehran back in 2014.
The two sides will also discuss ongoing regional developments.
The Kazakh Foreign Ministry announced on April 8 that Astana doesn’t accept the development of a military scenario in Yemen, and supports a political solution as the only right way to resolve the crisis.
That comes in agreement with Iran's statements on the issue, condemning Saudi-led air strikes on Yemen and calling for political talks, according to Trend.
