Chinese culture minister proposes holding SCO Cultural Heritage Forum

    Luo Shugang, minister of culture of China, proposed holding a Forum of Non-Material Cultural Heritage of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2016, the TASS news agency reports.
    "We propose holding Forum of Non-Material Cultural Heritage of the SCO states in 2016. After that we can think about organizing a people's Silk Way exhibition, and a Festival of National Dances," he said at a session of the Ministers of Culture of SCO Member States.
    He added the organization’s members need to boost their interaction in culture, while adding it needs to set up meetings of the directors of museums, producers, curators, festival directors as well as carry out exchanges with young experts in various areas of culture, according to KazTAG.
