Presidential inauguration takes place

    The inauguration of the President of Kazakhstan has taken place today, April 29, the Central Election Commission (CEC) states.
    "The CEC has decided to appoint April 29, 2015 as the Day of the President of Kazakhstan when Nursultan Nazarbayev will take his oath. Nursultan Nazarbayev won the early election on April 26," said CEC Secretary, Bakhyt Meldeshov.
    According to the final results, the President Nursultan Nazarbayev has received 97.75 % of the popular vote, according to Kazinform.
    During the proceedings, the president took a renewed oath of allegiance to the people of Kazakhstan. The oath marks his official reappointment as head-of-state.
    The oath is: "I solemnly swear I will faithfully serve the people of Kazakhstan, strictly observe the constitution and the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, guarantee the rights and freedoms of the citizens, and honestly perform the high duties of the President that have been entrusted to me,” according to Kazinform.
