Kazakhstan climbs 16 positions in Global Peacefulness Index

    Kazakhstan has climbed up by 16 positions in the Global Peacefulness Index drawn by the Institute of Economics and Peace.
    Kazakhstan was ranked 87th out of 162 states in 2015, while in 2014 the country was ranked 103.
    Armenia has been ranked 91st, Turkmenistan - 106th, Tajikistan - 108th, Uzbekistan - 113rd, Kyrgyzstan- 121st, Azerbaijan- 132nd, Ukraine- 150th, and Russia- 152nd.
    The most peace-loving states in the world, according to the rating are Island, Denmark and Austria, while Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria are last on the list.
    The US has been ranked 94th, China- 124th, KazTAG reports.
