Kazakhstan has expressed concern over the deteriorating situation in the Middle East and certain African countries due to the latest deadly terrorist attacks.
"Kazakhstan expresses its deep condolences to the people of Tunisia, Kuwait, Egypt, and Nigeria in connection with the deaths of citizens in the terrorist attacks," the Kazakh Foreign Ministry has said.
"As a part of the international community, Kazakhstan strongly condemns terrorism in all forms and manifestations and supports international and collective efforts to eradicate this phenomenon. Kazakhstan considers terrorism a threat to the security of the entire world," the ministry's statement said.
At least 37 people were killed and dozens were wounded when gunmen opened fire on a beach that is popular with tourists in Tunisia in late June.
A suicide bomber targeted a mosque in Kuwait and a decapitated head was displayed on the fence of a gas plant in France in a series of Islamist assaults on June 26 that have killed at least 66 people.
"We believe we need to work together under the United Nations auspices against the spread of terrorism and extremism, and search for ways to solve the economic and social problems that deprive the majority of citizens in the Middle East of opportunities...,” the statement said, according to Akipress.
