Kazakhstan army visits USARCENT

11.01.2016
A contingent from the Kazakhstan armed forces recently visited US Army Central, or USARCENT, and South Carolina to learn ways to build its military forces as it transitions from a conscript to an all-volunteer army, the United States Army said in a release on January 6.
The Kazakhstan contingent toured Fort Sumter National Monument on Fort Jackson, USARCENT and Shaw Air Force Base to see how the Army and Air Force take care of and train US soldiers and pilots as well as to inspect how the armed forces compete with corporate America for qualified personnel.
The trip specifically entailed taking a look as to how the American Civil War began, observing the basic training process, learning about how US soldiers live in the barracks, watching them train and learning about Army Community Services, or ACS, Army Emergency Relief, Master Resiliency Training, suicide prevention, the Chaplaincy Directorate and the Morale, Welfare and Recreation program, Akipress reports.
