Ablyazov could be returned to Kazakhstan under new agreement
10.02.2016
Former Kazakh banking tycoon Mukhtar Ablyazov could be sent back to Kazakhstan since Kazakhstan and France plan to sign a bilateral extradition agreement in the near future, Ak Zhaik reports.
The agreement will allow both countries to protect their mutual citizens during criminal trials and to transfer those convicted suspected of crimes.
If negotiations are completed successfully, Ablyazov could potentially become one of the first prisoners to be extradited, according to Ak Zhaik.
