Nazarbayev gives Obama a painting titled "Explosion" to raise awareness of nuclear non-proliferation

    President Nursultan Nazarbayev has presented the painting of Kazakh painter Karipbek Kuyukov to US President Barack Obama, Nazarbayev's press secretary Dauren Abayev said on Wednesday.
    The painting called "Explosion" depicted the nuclear bomb blast and a man presumably reading Qu'ran.
    Nazarbayev was in Washington March 31-April 1 for the Nuclear Security Summit.
    Karipbek Kuyukov is the ambassador of the of Atom Project, activist of the international anti-nuclear movement, Abayev wrote in a post on Facebook.
    "I think with this present, Nursultan Nazarbayev has once again raised awareness for this urgent issue in a non-standard manner," Abayev said, according to Akipress.
