Idrissov takes part in SCO tree planting ceremony

    Kazakh Foreign Affairs Minister, Yerlan Idrissov took part in a tree planting ceremony on the lawn of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Astana, together with ministers of foreign affairs of China and Kyrgyzstan and deputy ministers of foreign affairs of Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekista.
    Idrissov also made donated about 100 books written by President Nursultan Nazarbayev to the SCO Secretariat library.
    "I am glad to welcome you to the headquarters of the SCO and thank you heartily for your personal participation in the opening of the SCO lawn. We already have six pine-trees here, which symbolises the friendship of six countries, founders of the organization, loyalty to the Shanghai spirit and the creative power of the joint development of the SCO," SCO Secretary General, Rashid Alimov noted during the ceremony, Kazinform reports.
