Nazarbayev says new ways of cooperation needed for EEU

    President Nazarbayev has proposed EEU countries look for new ways to cooperate during the economic crisis. The president made the remarks at the recent session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
    "The negative things that are now happening the world economy are a challenge for all of us. They demand more efforts from us within the EEU platform. Our commission, governments -- all of us must look for new opportunities because the situation is really difficult. We are now having a rapid fall in mutual trade, and we must find new ways to cooperate," he said.
    He noted cooperation will make it possible to consolidate resources. This will create beneficial conditions for economic development, he said, according to Kazinform.
