Kyrgyz-Kazakh Intergovernmental Council ends

The first round of bilateral talks on the sidelines of the meeting of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh Intergovernmental Council has completed in Bishkek in the evening of June 7 without clarifying the date for the next round.
Press secretary of Prime Minister Chingiz Esengul uulu said the narrow format talks touched upon many extensive issues.
"The second round will continue after the two sides amend the protocol on the 6
th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh Intergovernmental Council that was held today," he commented to AKIpress.
The date of the second round of negotiations is unknown, though a news release from the government of Kyrgyzstan said the "talks will take place."
Narrow format talks on part of Kyrgyz Prime Minister, Sooronbai Jeenbekov and Prime Minister Karim Masimov dealt with a wide range of cooperation issues, in particular the energy, agriculture and transport sectors.
Massimov left Kyrgyzstan for Astana on June 7. Jeenbekov accompanied him to the Manas Airport.
"The 6
th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh Intergovernmental Council was scheduled June 8. However, upon Kazakhstan's request, it was held June 7," the press statement said.
Under the supervision of Deputy Prime Ministers of the two countries, experts will prepare for the second round of negotiations, Kazinform reports.
