Massimov distributes new responsibilities to deputies

    Prime Minister Karim Massimov has signed a decree distributing responsibilities to himself, his deputies and the director of the Prime Minister's Office, Kazinform has learned from a related press statement.
    According to the document, the prime minister will be responsible for overseeing strategic economic, financial, fiscal and customs policy, the state budget, interstate relations and international cooperation, obtaining foreign investment and improving the investment climate.
    First Deputy Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev's responsibilities will include the operating management of the economy and regional policy, environmental protection, the use of natural resources, the development of construction and the modernization of housing and public utilities.
    He will also coordinate emergencies response, the development of the military-industrial complex, small and medium-sized business, preparations for the heating season, the International Expo-2017 exhibition and others.
    Deputy Prime Minister Dariga Nazarbayeva will oversee the development of education and science, healthcare, social modernization, social policy, employment, religion, information, development of sport and culture, etc.
    Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture Askar Myrzakhmetov will be responsible for the agriculture industry, land relations, water resources, forestry and more.
    Director of the Prime Minister's Office Yerlan Koshanov will oversee information and analytical, legal and organizational issues. He will also supervise the operation of central and local executive agencies in terms of government resolutions, Kazinform reports.
