Acting Uzbek president meets Nazarbayev

    Uzbekistan’s Interim President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on September 12 with President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan, who is in Tashkent.
    The two sides discussed the further development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in various areas.
    Mirziyoyev thanked Nazarbayev for his visit to Uzbekistan to pay his last respects to President Islam Karimov. He noted the relationship of friendship and trust between Karimov and Nazarbayev, Kazinform reports.
