Nazarbayeva becomes Senate Foreign Relations defense and Security Committee chairwoman

    The eldest daughter of President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Darigha Nazarbayeva has been elected unanimously as chairwoman of the Senate Foreign Relations, Defense and Security Committee.
    Her candidacy was proposed by Senate Speaker Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev.
    Nazarbayeva was appointed senator on September 13 as per a presidential decree, Akipress reports.
