16.11.2016
Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev has taken part in the Kazakh-Serbian Business Forum in Astana yesterday.
In his greeting to participants, Sagintayev noted 2016 was very fruitful in terms of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Serbia.
President Nursultan Nazarbayev’s office in August this year to Belgrade determined the main priorities for the development of bilateral relations.
These priorities are agriculture, construction, the food industry, transport, tourism as well as small and medium-sized businesses.
The prime minister noted that due to the implementation of major infrastructure projects as part of the state Nurly Zhol program, the country has huge transit potential, which might benefit Serbian businesses.
Kazakhstan is located in the EEU free trade zone, which provides opportunities to access a huge market.
Free economic and industrial zones have been set up nationwide, which provided favorable conditions for doing business.
Besides infrastructure development, cooperation in agriculture, construction, pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering could serve as an excellent base for the expansion of bilateral ties.
In turn, Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said Serbia attaches a great deal of importance to developing its relations with Kazakhstan and believes that bilateral ties could be accompanied by more intensive interaction in various areas especially in the economy, according to primeminister.kz.
