Nazarbayev offers Merkel condolences over Berlin terror attack

    President Nursultan Nazarbayev has sent a message of condolences to Federal Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel.
    The message wrote that it was with deep sorrow that he president heard of the numerous innocent victims of the terror act on December 19 in Berlin. On behalf of the people of Kazakhstan and himself, Nazarbayev expressed condolences to Merkel, the families of the dead, and all the people of Germany, and wished a speedy recovery to the victims.
    As was reported earlier, on December 19 a truck drove into a crowd of tourists of a Christmas fair on Braytshaydplats Square in Berlin. 12 people died and 48 were hospitalized, according to Kazinform.
