Progress of state programme Nurly Zhol discussed by government

Progress of the state programme Nurly Zhol for 2015-2019 has been reviewed at a government meeting, Kazpravda.kz reports.
"The agenda of the meeting is the progress of the State program of infrastructure development Nurly Zhol for 2015-2019 and the results of the 28
th World Winter Universiade-2017 in Almaty," reported the press service of the Cabinet.
After the meeting, a press conference was held with Minister of National Economy Timur Suleimenov, Finance Minister Bakhyt Sultanov and Minister for Investment and Development Zhenis Kasymbek.
Implementation of the state programme Nurly Zhol helped create more than 100 000 jobs last year, according to Minister of National Economy Timur Suleimenov.
According to the minister, Nurly Zhol is the main engine of economic growth, giving a strong impetus to construction of roads, housing and social services.
"Within the framework of the state programme Nurly Zhol in 2016 more than 105,000 jobs were created. At the end of the year 469.6 billion tenge was disbursed on target transfers or 99 percent. Incomplete disbursement is mainly due to savings on public procurement", - said Timur Suleimenov.
The minister also announced the other areas of the economy that have been developed through the state program. For example, for development of the road sector KZT 151.3 billion was allocated in 2016, which was executed in full. Due to the allocated funds, construction and road work has been completed on 611 kilometers of roads. As a result, traffic was opened in the directions Astana - Temirtau, Almaty - Kapshagay and Astana - Petropavlovsk. This year, the work in this direction will be continued, assured Suleimenov.
In addition, communication and engineering infrastructure is constructed in all regions of the country for the objects of housing, 2 208 km of engineering networks have been built. Also, work continues to create the necessary infrastructure for the business objects within the BRM 2020.
"Within the framework of the state program, special attention is paid to development of infrastructure in the field of education; in particular, the total elimination of emergency and three-shift education is planned by 2018. Currently 52 objects are already commissioned, including 35 schools and 17 kindergartens," - concluded the Minister of national economy, as reported by the Kazakhstanskaya Pravda.
