Nazarbayev instructed to modernise public consciousness at a high level

    President Nursultan Nazarbayev held a meeting with Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev. The President was reported on the activities of the Government in implementing the Address "The Third Modernisation of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness", as well as on the progress of state and sectoral programs for the first quarter of 2017 , Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of Akorda.
    Nazarbayev stressed the importance of implementing the previously approved development programs and the need for quality control of their implementation.
    The Head of State also noted the upcoming events, which require careful preparation and control.
    In addition, the President noted the importance of implementing the tasks set in the program article "Glance into the Future: Modernising the Public Consciousness."
    The head of state, stressing the high responsibility of the Government in the framework of the forthcoming work, instructed also to involve the public of the country, including representatives of the clerisy, youth, and non-governmental sector.
    The President drew attention to the high activity and support of the voiced initiatives by the majority of Kazakhstanis.
    Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed that the work on modernisation of public consciousness should be carried out at a high level.
    Bakytzhan Sagintayev reported to the Head of State on the growth of short-term economic indicators for the first quarter of the year. According to the Prime Minister, the mining and processing industries have reached a high level.
    Sagintayev also informed the President on the progress of the Government's preparation of a roadmap for technological modernisation jointly with the city administrations, large holdings and companies.
    At the end of the meeting, the Head of State gave specific instructions.
