Samruk-Kazyna JSC opens HR shared service center

Official opening of Samruk-Kazyna group’s HR shared service center (“HR Qyzmet”) took place with participation of Umirzak Shukeyev, CEO of the Fund, and heads of Samruk-Kazyna portfolio companies on September 21, 2017. 

HR Qyzmet is a centralized organisation, that handles routine HR processes including personnel administration, payroll, social benefits administration, hiring management, training administration and performance evaluation, etc. HR Qyzmet is based on Corporate University Samruk-Kazyna and has no analogues in Kazakhstan and Central Asia by the scale and number of served companies.

Ulan Tazhibayev, Managing Director for HR Management and Communications, member of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC: “The world leading companies implement Shared Service Center in their business. The project team has analyzed the best international practices and has developed its operational model, which allowed productivity growth by 30% on certain services in the first six months. As the result, the expected cost reduction for HR-services will be no less than 20% due to effective labor organization, automation and centralization of the function.”  HR Qyzmet has been active since January 1, 2017 and currently provides services to Samruk-Kazyna JSC, KazMunaiGas JSC, Tau-Ken Samruk JSC, United Chemical Company LLP, Samruk-Kazyna Invest LLP, Samruk-Kazyna Contract LLP, Real Estate Fund Samruk-Kazyna JSC and Pavlodar Oil Chemistry Refinery LLP. In October 2017, it is planned to launch a call-center, SMS notification and other services for the convenience of customers. In the middle of 2018 KazMunaiGas’s four companies will shift to HR Qyzmet.  In total by the end of 2018, more than thirty thousand employees of the Fund’s group will be covered by the Center.

The shared service center has been created under the Fund’s Transformation Programme, in particular, large-scale HR transformation. The advantage of HR Qyzmet is significant increase of HR-processes effectiveness and quality growth due to unification and standardization of repetitive routine process.
