Vice Minister for Innovation and Development Roman Sklyar at a meeting of the commission at the fraction of Nur Otan party in the Kazakh Parliament forecast the cost of one square metre of housing in 2018, Kazpravda.kz reports.
The theme of the meeting was "Modernisation of infrastructure of housing and communal services, water and heat supply networks, strengthening of housing infrastructure."
According to the vice-minister, due to the fact that the state finances the construction of housing on a compensation basis, it is possible to restrain prices in the primary market and at the same time to prevent price increases in the secondary housing market.
"The cost of an apartment in the regions is 140 thousand tenge per square metre. This is credit housing, which is then sold through the system of housing and construction savings. In Astana, Almaty, Atyrau and Aktau a square metre costs 180 thousand tenge. For the two years 2015-2016, 19,200 such apartments with discount prices were put on the market, and this year about 15 thousand," Roman Sklyar informed.
He also noted that next year it is planned to build more than 10 million square metre of housing.
"Indicators of the programme Nurly Jer are designed for 15 years and during this time we have to commission 1.5 million apartments. The cost of a square metre is fixed both for individual houses and for apartments," the vice-minister added.
According to the information of the representatives of the Housing Construction Saving Bank, there are currently 914 thousand deposits.
We add that in the current year in Kazakhstan about 15 thousand discount-priced apartments have been built, which restrains the growth of prices in the housing market.
