The Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan will review the standards of requirements for foreign suppliers, said the minister Zhenis Kasymbek at a meeting of the RK Government, Kazpravda.kz reports.
"An analysis will be carried out to identify local, sectoral and regional restrictions, limiting the effective investment attraction, for example, the Japanese company HITACHI voiced the problem of entering the market for the supply and opening of mining equipment and spare parts production due to obsolete standards and requirements in the RK," Kasymbek said.
In this connection, according to him, the Committee for Technological Regulation and Standardization is working to change the standards.
In addition, in order to increase the transparency and predictability of investment policy, the conduct of social surveys, introduction of a mechanism to ensure investors' access to laws and regulations on investment by publishing them in English, as well as the transition to trilingual rule-making activities are considered.
