Kazakh Parliament approves 2018-2020 draft budget

At the plenary session, Parliament approved the draft specified budget for 2018-2020, Kazpravda.kz reports.

The corresponding bill was presented by the Minister of National Economy Timur Suleimenov, the Minister of Finance Bakhyt Sultanov and the National Bank governor, Daniyar Akishev.

The forecast for the oil price in 2018 was increased from $ 45 to $ 55 per barrel, price index for metals increased by 0.4%. The estimated rate of tenge to the US dollar is kept at 340 tenge.

Additional budget revenues after the macroeconomic forecast adjustment will amount to KZT181.4 bn. Basically, it is increase in tax revenues, the adjusted forecast of which is KZT5,592.4 billion.

The issue of debt securities will additionally attract KZT 118.5 billion to the budget.

It is proposed to spend KZT292.5bn to implement the President’s Address "The Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness" and "New Development Opportunities in the Conditions of the Fourth Industrial Revolution"; 25.1 billion tenge - for implementation of 5 social initiatives of the President; 99.4 billion tenge for implementation of the previously accepted obligations.
