President signed law on regulation of entrepreneurship

In Akorda, the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, publicly signed the Law "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Improving Regulation of Entrepreneurial Activity", Kazpravda.kz reports.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Head of State noted that over the years of independence, strong institutional foundations of a market economy have been created in Kazakhstan.

Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized the special importance of the Law "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Improving Regulation of Entrepreneurial Activity ", signed today. 

"The main goal of the amendments is to liberalize legislation in the sphere of business regulation. The law provides for a reduction of the state control functions by almost 30 percent. The important role is given to the control institute that will prevent violations. The services of natural monopolies and the quasi-public sector shall be regulated," the Head of State said. 

In addition, the President of Kazakhstan described the measures envisaged in the Law for frontal reduction of business costs and exclusion of norms that impede competition. 

At the end of the speech, the Head of State noted that the "Five Social Initiatives" will open new opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses, and expressed confidence that adoption of this Law will be a new serious stimulus for strengthening business activities in the country for prosperity of the nation.
