Kazakhs beginning to earn more, pay more tax

According to the results of the first quarter of 2018, income tax amounted to more than 600 billion tenge - almost 9% more than a year earlier. The state budget for January-March 2018 was replenished by 2.6 trillion tenge. In all: things go better with higher oil prices.

For the first quarter of 2018, the state budget was replenished by 2.6 trillion tenge. The main source of revenue of the state budget is tax revenues, which amounted to 1.8 trillion tenge in the first three months of 2018, which was 11.6% more than a year earlier with 1.6 trillion tenge.

Receipts of transfers amounted to 794.6 billion tenge, which is 30% more than for the same period in 2017, when there were 611 billion tenge.

Non-tax revenues decreased by 33.5%, amounting to 52.6 billion tenge. A year earlier it amounted to 79.1 billion tenge. Despite a serious reduction in this income, it is one of the main revenue sources of the state budget.

In the structure of tax revenues, the largest share is held by domestic taxes on goods, works and services by 37.8% or 674.6 billion tenge, against 544 billion tenge a year earlier.

The second article, which brings the largest tax revenue to the state budget, is income tax, the share of which amounts to 33.6% or 600.1 billion tenge, against 552.6 billion tenge a year earlier.

The tax on international trade and external operations closes the top three at 15.1% or 270 billion tenge.

Income tax consists of corporate and individual groups. In January-March, 2018, companies paid 393.3 billion tenge in taxes, which is 7.3% more than in the same period of the previous year at 366.6 billion tenge.

Contributions to the state budget at the expense of individual income tax amounted to 206.8 billion tenge, with an increase of 11.2% compared to the year before at 186 billion tenge.

The growth of income contributions to the state budget indicates the growth of incomes of the population and business. The average weighted increase in income from income tax for the first quarter of 2018 amounted to 8.6%, or 45.7 billion tenge.
