Kazakhstan and China sign more than 40 agreements

At the 5th meeting of the Kazakh-Chinese Business Council (KCBC), held in Beijing within the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan to China, more than 40 agreements were signed in investment, finance, trade and other areas, Kazpravda.kz correspondent reports. 

"The agreements envisage attraction of investments in the SEZ, development of natural deposits, implementation of projects in renewable energy, creation of a biochemical cluster, etc. We see that Chinese companies are increasingly investing in the manufacturing sector, logistics, infrastructure, agro-processing and other industries, "said Akhmetzhan Yesimov, Samruk-Kazyna NWF board chairman at the meeting of the RK President with captains of Chinese business.

The head of the NWF and co-chairman of the KCBC noted that Kazakhstan also counts on more open position of Chinese financial institutions and commercial banks that could finance not only the PRC enterprises working in Kazakhstan, but also Kazakhstan companies. To date, there are 3 commercial banks operating in Kazakhstan with Chinese capital and it is planned to open an office of the China Construction Bank.
