Relations between Kazakhstan and Turkey develop in strategic partnership spirit - Nazarbayev

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev took part in the Third meeting of the high-level strategic cooperation council between Kazakhstan and Turkey in Ankara, according to the press service of Akorda.

Addressing the meeting, President of Kazakhstan elaborated on the current issues of bilateral cooperation. "Relations between Kazakhstan and Turkey are developing in the spirit of strategic partnership, an important component of which is trade-economic cooperation," Nazarbayev said, stressing that Turkey is one of the important investment partners of Kazakhstan and specifying measures to further strengthen bilateral ties.

He praised the results of the joint program New Synergy and talked about the prospects for investment partnership development. "Kazakhstan is upgrading the transport infrastructure on Nurly Zhol program, through which we also plan to become the leading logistics hub in Central Asia. Therefore, we need to effectively use the transit potential of our countries," President of Kazakhstan said.

He also broached development of ties in oil and gas and military industries, in agribusiness, tourism, science and technology, culture-humanitarian area.
