Pressident Nursultan Nazarbayev held a meeting with the Assistant to the President - Secretary of the Security Council Gabit Baizhanov, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of Akorda.
During the meeting, President stressed that the Security Council is a special body that coordinates the state policy in ensuring national security, law and order, and strengthening of the country's defense capability.
"The new law on the Security Council significantly expands its powers. In this connection it is necessary to study in detail the legal framework, including the documents regulating the activities of law enforcement and special bodies," President tasked. In turn, Baizhanov accounted on progress of preparations for the regular Security Council meeting.
