The President has invited Jean-Claude Juncker to take part in the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council session.
Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev met with President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker on the sidelines of the Summit of the Asia-Europe Meeting, BNews.kz reports referring to a press service of the Akorda.
During the meeting, the head of state underlined the traditionally high level of the Summit and invited the President of the European Commission to take part in the regular session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council that will take place on December next year in St.Petersburg.
In turn, Jean-Claude Juncker pointed out the importance of the Kazakh delegation's participation and Nursultan Nazarbayev in the 12th Summit of the Asia-Europe Meeting.
"I remember my visit to Kazakhstan in 2008 well and our conversation about the stability in the world. It is important to hold regular meetings," said the President of the European Commission.
The sides have considered the current agenda of international politics, including global security, as well as they have discussed the cooperation of the Eurasian Union with the European Union.
In addition, the President of Kazakhstan met with Chairman of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Italy Dmitry Medvedev and Giuseppe Conte.
Earlier, the head of state spoke to the Summit of the Asia-Europe Meeting in the City of Brussels.
