Nursultan Nazarbayev visited Charity Ball in Astana

The Kazakh Head of State congratulated everyone on the New Year and wished happiness, health and family well-being. 

 Nursultan Nazarbayev participated in the New Year Eve's Ball in the capital city, Akorda reports.  

Addressing to the participants of the Charity Ball, the Head of State underlined that the passing year was productive for the whole country. 

"Our country's authority has been significantly strengthened around the world. The amount of investment in Kazakhstan has increased by 17.5%. The economy has seen an overall growth of more than 17.5%. All this is the result of our joint efforts. Therefore, I thank everyone," said the President. 

Nursultan Nazarbayev also noted that the new year will be full of events encouraging further development of the country.  

"From 2019, the minimum wage will rise by 1.5, cutting across 1.3 million people. The level of teacher's salaries, certificate holders, will increase by from 30 to 50%. Works to upgrade the work of law enforcement bodies will be carried out, as well as actions to promote tourism," said the Head of State.

The Kazakh President outlined that special attention will be placed on the young generation's potential in the next year. 

"The special national programme for the youth will focus on the four tasks, including education, housing, health, and patriotic education. All we do, we do for our future. The independence of the country should be the main direction in life of young persons," said Nursultan Nazarbayev. 

At the end, the President once again extended his congratulations on the New Year and wished happiness, health and family well-being to the Kazakh people.
