The head of state Nursultan Nazarbayev held a meeting with the governors of the Kostanay, Karaganda and Turkestan regions.
During the meeting with the governor of the Kostanay region, Arkhimed Mukhambetov, Nursultan Nazarbayev was reported on the socio-economic development of the region and the results of the instructions implemented in the framework of the current Address to the people of Kazakhstan. Nazarbayev stressed the importance of timely and high-quality implementation of state and sectoral programs, and also indicated the need for measures to further improve the welfare of the population.
“In the Kostanay region, there is a positive dynamics of macroeconomic indicators. Industry compared with 2017 increased by 8.3%, construction - by 22.3%. About 300 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned,” Arkhimed Mukhambetov reported. The governor of Kostanay region also informed the President of Kazakhstan on development of the automotive industry, the results of activities on attraction of investment and implementation of industrial projects.
The governor of the Kostanay region spoke about the progress of projects for production of agricultural machinery, production of building materials, development of meat-processing complex in Arkalyk and measures to support SMEs.
During the meeting with the governor of Karaganda region, Yerlan Koshanov, Nursultan Nazarbayev was informed about the main socio-economic indicators of the region in 2018 and future development prospects.
Nazarbayev, stressing the importance of the region, separately focused on the issues of gasification, as well as the state of ecology in Temirtau. In turn, the governor of the Karaganda region informed the Head of State about the measures being taken to implement the instructions voiced in the Address to the people of Kazakhstan.
Nursultan Nazarbayev gave a number of instructions on further development of the region, including on construction in Karaganda.
On January 29, Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev has met with governor of Turkestan region Zhanseit Tuimebayev.
Governor Tuimebayev made a report on the implementation of the tasks set at the session on the development of Turkestan city last December. Nursultan Nazarbayev was briefed on the progress in construction of key socially important facilities, including the building of the regional administration, various departments as well as new housing.
Having stressed the need to preserve the current pace of construction in Turkestan, the President gave a number of specific instructions.
