New Kazakh PM pledges “Government of real action”

The first meeting of the new Government of Kazakhstan was held in Astana. Prime Minister Askar Mamin noted that the new cabinet of ministers should become the "Government of real action.”

The new ministers of education, national economy, industry and infrastructure development and agriculture, who first joined the Government, took the oath of office at the beginning of the meeting.

"Our Government should become the Government of real actions, aimed at concrete results. The President set priorities in order to improve the level and quality of life of the population, diversify the economy and create new jobs, develop small and medium businesses," Mamin said. He noted that the work of the Cabinet of Ministers should result in improvement in the quality of life of Kazakhstanis.

"At the Nur Otan Party Congress this week, a number of new measures will be announced to enhance social support and improve the quality of life of people. At the next Government meeting, we will review the orders given at the Congress," he concluded.
