The President of Kazakhstan, Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev, visited Kostanay with a working visit and said at a meeting with agricultural producers that the land would not be sold to foreigners, the press service of Akorda reported.
“Of course, there are certain problems, as in other areas. But with the assistance of the Government, the work on their decision will be strengthened. As for the land issue, I believe that the land should belong to those who work on it. The land will not be sold to foreigners. This is my principled position,” the President of Kazakhstan stressed.
The head of state reviewed the production figures of Olzha Sadchikovskoye, which is engaged in plant growing and animal husbandry. The enterprise provides meat and dairy products for the internal need of the Kostanay region and other regions of the country. The president was presented the capabilities of an analytical and digital system in the processing of agricultural products. Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev highly appreciated the development of the agrarian sector of the region, which makes a significant contribution to ensuring the country's food security.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, in the whole republic in 2019, crops are planned to be planted on an area of about 22.3 million hectares, which is 291 thousand hectares, or 1.3% more than last year.
