Prime Minister Askar Mamin, at a meeting with the staff of the new Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources, introduced Magzum Mirzagaliyev, appointed the minister by the Decree of the president of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources has been given the authority to protect the environment, supervise the rational use of natural resources, in the field of geology and the reproduction of the mineral resource base, as well as issues of handling solid household waste, water supply and sanitation, forestry.
Mamin noted that Mirzagaliyev is a qualified specialist, an experienced leader. He worked in the oil and gas industry, was the deputy chairman of Kazmunaygas National Company, vice minister of oil and gas. Until now, he served as vice minister of energy.
“The president entrusted you with heading an important direction and organizing the work of a new state body,” said prime minister, instructing as soon as possible to resolve all organizational issues and get to work.
Prime Minister Askar Mamin introduced Bakhyt Sultanov, new minister appointed by the Head of State to the staff of the new Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Presenting Sultanov, Askar Mamin noted his great experience in senior positions. He headed the ministries of economy and budget planning, finance. In various years, he has worked as deputy prime minister, assistant to the president, deputy head of the Presidential Administration. Until recently, he has served as akim of the city of Nur-Sultan.
“Sultanov has the necessary experience for the organization of the work of the new state body and the qualitative fulfillment of the tasks set,” said Mamin.
The prime minister expressed his confidence that Sultanov would justify the high trust of the president and ensure the high-quality implementation of the important tasks assigned to the new Ministry.
The Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been assigned functions in the field of domestic and foreign trade policy, export coordination and promotion, technical regulation and standardization.
