Lead of the Nation (Elbasy) Nursultan Nazarbayev has met with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The sides discussed the topical issues of the current agenda and the plans for the oncoming period. Special attention was given to the social and political situation in the country and to the development of civil society institutions.

Also, Nursultan Nazarbayev received the first deputy chairman of Nur Otan party Bauyrzhan Baybek.
During the meeting, the First President of Kazakhstan was briefed on the implementation of the party’s modernization plan, the party’s share in the restoration of Arys town in Turkestan region.
“Nur Otan Party is the main political force in the country. It should be closer to the people. Assistance should be rendered in solving the problems of our society. Nur Otan should continue to improve,” Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
He also pointed out the need to improve the work of the party control commission and anti-corruption councils in the center and in the provinces, enhance the feedback instruments with the public, including the activities of public reception offices.
Nazarbayev tasked Bauyrzhan Baybek to develop a reboot program for the party.
