
During the meeting of Kazakhstan Government, chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Askar Mamin, the draft forecast for the socioeconomic development of the country through to 2024, as well as draft laws on the 2020-2022 republican budget, on the volume of general transfers between the republican and regional budgets for 2020-2022 and on guaranteed transfer from the National Fund were approved, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Prime Minister.
The bills were presented by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan - Minister of Finance A. Smailov, Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan R. Dalenov. According to the forecast of socioeconomic development of Kazakhstan for 2020-2024, real growth in Kazakhstan's GDP is projected at 4.1% in 2020, with a subsequent growth to 4.7% in 2024. The average annual GDP growth rate for the forecast period is to make 4.4%.
In the draft republican budget, revenues for 2020 will amount to 11.2 trillion tenge, an increase of 639 billion tenge against the plan for the current year. The priority expenditures of the 2020-2022 republican budget will be directed to further implementation of the annual state-of-the-nation addresses of the President of Kazakhstan and the announced initiatives of the First President of Kazakhstan.
The priority areas remain further improvement of the life quality and well-being of the population. The expenses of the social sphere in 2020 are planned in the amount of 5.7 trillion billion tenge, which is 303 billion tenge more than in the current year.
Prime Minister Askar Mamin noted that in determining the volume of general transfers for 2020-2022, the characteristics of each region and their levels of economic development were factored in.
Budget expenditures will also be used to support the real sector of the economy, including industrial-innovative development, housing and transport infrastructure, agriculture, digitization, and productive employment.
The bills are agreed with the President and in the prescribed manner approved by the Republican Budget Commission. They will be directed to Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
