Nursultan Nazarbayev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Kazakhstan Alexei Borodavkin.
During the meeting, the parties discussed pressing issues of bilateral cooperation and interaction within the framework of Eurasian economic integration.
Elbasy emphasized the special character of the existing relations between Kazakhstan and Russia.
"We have created ten thousand joint ventures. Russia is the largest economic partner of Kazakhstan. For all the years of my work, we have built close and trusting relations with your country. And today we follow all our agreements," said the First President of Kazakhstan.
Nursultan Nazarbayev noted the importance of taking joint efforts to further deepen and expand cooperation between the two states.
“Russia remains our main ally, partner in all areas. We value our relations and will develop them further,” said Elbasy.
The First President of Kazakhstan expressed confidence that the activities of the embassy will continue to be aimed at rapprochement and strengthening of friendly relations between the countries.
The Russian ambassador to Kazakhstan also noted the availability of prospects for further strengthening cooperation in the field of foreign policy and security.
In addition, Elbasy was informed about the measures being taken to create and develop joint ventures of Kazakhstan and Russia, as well as to improve investment cooperation.
