Kazakh head of state advocates “new approaches to economic development”

On October 15 was held meeting on economic issues under the chairmanship Of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The meeting discussed the results of socio-economic development of the country, the implementation of plans, the implementation of monetary policy, the reform of targeted social assistance, social development and employment. Reports were made by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, Chairman of the National Bank Yerbolat Dossayev, Minister of Labour and social protection of the population Birzhan Nurymbetov.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that in general, the macroeconomic situation in the country is stable, the main indicators of social and economic development of Kazakhstan show positive dynamics, but at the same time the problems of diversification of the domestic economy, productive employment, income, access to social benefits have not yet been fully solved.

According to the Head of state, the quality of implementation of strategic programs depends on the solution of the main task – improving the living standards of the population.

The President instructed to develop a set of measures to preserve the macroeconomic, financial and social stability of the country under various scenarios of the situation in the world, and also focused on the tasks of the current stage of implementation of the Strategy Kazakhstan-2050.
