In Akorda, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is holding a meeting with representatives of the Presidential Youth Candidate Pool.
"It is youth - educated, hardworking, patriotic, that are the main driving force of our country’s progress and sustainable development, "the President said addressing the meeting.
According to him, each of the applicants showed a high level of professional competence, proved a sincere desire to work for the good of the state.
“Therefore, I invited all of you to Akorda to meet with you personally, to hear your opinions on the issues relevant to the country, to communicate my vision of the tasks facing the Candidate Pool. I hope for a good exchange of views today,” Tokayev said.
Also, Tokayev focused on need to strengthen Kazakhstan security. Kazakhstan needs to work more actively on socio-economic development and strengthening of the country's security, Kazpravda.kz correspondent quotes President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as saying at the meeting with representatives of the Presidential Youth Candidate Pool in Akorda.
“Our meeting takes place at the very beginning of 2020, which opens the third decade of the 21st century. The coming decade will be very difficult. We are witnessing transformation of international politics. Different development models, different perceptions of the world structure and national interests lead to open clashes between individual countries and groups of states,” the President of Kazakhstan said.
According to Tokayev, alarming situation in the Persian Gulf and the Middle East as a whole can be cited as a good example.
“Under these conditions, we should work more actively at socio-economic development and strengthening of our country’s security. Recent history shows that in the global confrontation the weak ultimately lose, those who are often far from conflicts. Fragile institutions are not able to withstand the challenges of global instability,” Tokayev continued.
He noted that over the years of independence Kazakhstan has built a management that repeatedly showed its efficiency in the most difficult conditions.
“But the nature of modern challenges requires further action. The main law of the viability of any system is development and improvement. In this regard, leading technology companies that achieve success, primarily through introduction of advanced management systems, set a good example. Everyone knows how prestigious it is to work in companies such as Apple, Google, Amazon, Alibaba, etc. Their leadership rests not only on the skillful use of technology, but on the ability to reveal talents and professional qualities in each individual member of the team. These principles should be in demand in the public administration system,” added the President of Kazakhstan.
According to him, the protest wave that swept the world in recent years, clearly demonstrates the global demand for change. Humanity is undergoing the fourth industrial revolution, and the principles of public administration have not essentially changed for decades.
