The ceremony of presenting credentials to the President of Kazakhstan by newly appointed extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors of a number of states was held at the Akorda residence.
Credentials were handed to the Head of State by the ambassadors of the Republic of Turkey - Ufuk Ekici, the Republic of Bulgaria - Boyan Hadzhiev, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - Abdulaziz Abdullah Al-Daud.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated the diplomats on the beginning of their official activities in Kazakhstan and wished them success in their noble mission.
During the ceremony, the President held talks with the ambassadors.
At the meeting with Ufuk Ekici, the Head of State noted the strategic nature of relations between Kazakhstan and Turkey and expressed confidence that the bilateral partnership will successfully develop in the future.
“I take this opportunity to convey my best wishes to my colleague, President Erdogan. We look forward to his official visit to Kazakhstan in April this year,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev added.
At the meeting with Boyan Hadzhiev, the President of Kazakhstan noted the friendly nature of cooperation with Bulgaria. He recalled meetings with President Rumen Radev on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly in New York and with Vice President of Bulgaria Iliyana Yotova as part of her recent visit to Nur-Sultan.
“We look forward to the visit of the President of Bulgaria to Kazakhstan this spring. I hope that his visit will be successful and will give an additional impetus to the development of cooperation between the two countries,” the Head of State said.
At the meeting with Abdulaziz Abdullah Al-Daud, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev praised the current level and content of bilateral relations, highlighting the fruitful investment ties, the great potential for cooperation in the oil and gas, chemical, nuclear industries, as well as in the use of renewable energy sources. The President conveyed his best wishes to the King and Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.
“We look forward to the visit of the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, to Kazakhstan. It will be great if this visit takes place this year,” the Head of State said.
