Prime Minister Askar Mamin chaired the first meeting of the State Commission on Ensuring the State of Emergency under the President of Kazakhstan.
Minister of Healthcare Yelzhan Birtanov reported on measures to prevent the further spread of coronavirus infection in Kazakhstan, Minister of National Economy Ruslan Dalenov reported on stabilization of the economy, and Minister of Trade and Integration Bakhyt Sultanov — on the restriction of the operation of large trade facilities and prices on socially important goods and regional conditions, First Vice-Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Kairbek Uskenbayev — on the transport industry, Minister of the Interior Yerlan Turgumbayev — on measures for ensuring public safety, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Askar Zhumagaliev — on the field of informatization and communications, Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov — on the state of affairs in education, -Chair of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on regulation and development of the financial market Madina Abylkassymova and Chair of the National Bank Erbolat Dossaev — on measures to ensure financial stability.
Akims of the regions and cities of republican significance were heard about measures taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus and ensure socio-economic stability in the regions.
The Head of Government instructed to strengthen measures to carry out sanitary and anti-epidemic measures in all organizations and facilities, to provide pharmacy chains with medicines and personal protective equipment.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and special state agencies were instructed to strengthen the protection of medical and quarantine facilities involved in countering the spread of coronavirus.
“The Ministry of Trade and Integration to work out together with large retail chains and suppliers of food products, as well as akimats, the uninterrupted supply of all necessary products and essential goods,” said Mamin.
The prime minister instructed the Ministry of Digital Development to ensure the operation of high-speed Internet, the maximum provision of electronic services and stimulate the transition to a remote mode of operation.
“Akims should take personal control of the implementation of the measures introduced in the field in accordance with the Decree of the Head of State on the introduction of a state of emergency. It is necessary to make every effort to maintain a stable situation in the country and prevent the spread of coronavirus in Kazakhstan,” summarized Mamin.
