
The test results for COVID-19 of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, gave a positive result. This was reported by spokesman for Elbasy Aydos Ukibay.
"Currently, the First President of Kazakhstan is on self-isolation. Unfortunately, the last test of Elbasy for coronavirus infection showed a positive result. There is no cause for concern. Nursultan Nazarbayev continues to work remotely," Ukibay twitted.
Recall, on June 14, Minister of Health of Kazakhstan Yelzhan Birtanov announced that he had become infected with the coronavirus. Later, information appeared that the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Askar Mamin, was on self-isolation. On June 15, it became known that the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Askhat Aymagambetov, was also on self-isolation.
Later, two more Kazakh ministers self-isolated.
Thus, according to the press service of the Defense Ministry, in connection with the upcoming participation in events in Moscow dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the defense minister, Lieutenant General Nurlan Yermekbayev, self-isolated from June 11, 2020.
The press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan also reported that the Minister of Agriculture Saparkhan Omarov made the coronavirus test, being a contact person. The test result is negative, but in accordance with the protocol he will have to retake the tests, so for now he is on self-isolation. Saparkhan Omarov continues to work remotely.
On June 16, it became known that the Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan Magzum Mirzagaliev self-isolated after a contact with the Health Minister Yelzhan Birtanov.
