President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev attended the mourning ceremony for coronavirus pandemic victims.
By presidential decree, July 13 was declared the day of national mourning in Kazakhstan. From 00:00 the national flag was flown at half-mast throughout the country.
On July 13, on the day of the nationwide mourning in memory of those, who lost their lives to coronavirus pandemic, a minute of silence was announced throughout the country at 12:00.
In front of the Akorda’s residence, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev paid tribute to the victims of the coronavirus pandemic.
The ceremony was attended by the State Secretary Krymbek Kusherbayev, Head of the Presidential Administration Yerlan Koshanov, Secretary of the Security Council Aset Issekeshev, Head of the Office of the President Nurlan Onzhanov and Minister of Health Alexei Tsoi.
The ceremony of commemorating the victims of the pandemic took place in all the country’s regions.
According to coronavirus2020.kz, as at 00 on 13 July, Kazakhstan registered 58,253 cases of coronavirus infection, of which 33,814 people recovered. 375 people died from coronavirus.
