Mortality from coronavirus and pneumonia in Kazakhstan remains high, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wrote on Twitter.

“The pandemic is raging almost all over the world. Kazakhstan is no exception. The disease is tearing out hundreds of citizens from our ranks: workers and pensioners, the elderly and young people, famous and unknown people. The mortality rate from c / virus and pneumonia remains high,” the President wrote on Twitter.

The task of the Health Ministry and all health authorities, the President stressed, is to reduce it to minimum. "The government has to tighten quarantine measures, without which success in the fight against the pandemic is impossible," the President concluded.
